In the lectures, we have been discussing many types of artist, what is art and how to describe it.
Henry Darger, Jonathan Lasker, Linda Pettway, Michal Rovner, Matthew Ritchie, Eve Laramée, Oskar Schlemmer, F.T. Marinetti are just a few. We also had to write essays about artists of our choice and sketch pictures of their artwork. Yesterday we took a trip to the Menil in Houston and let loose. We had to sketch 6 different pieces of work from 6 different categories and answer a few questions. I have lived in Houston for 18 years and I have never heard of that museum. I'm learning more and more about what people consider art each and every class period.
